Should have left Madrid at 11:40. We haven't, tis now 1:55. So so tired. But we get to go to Venezuela! Yay. Its taken so long to get here I can't really beleive we're actaully going today. Hopefully it will have hit by the time we land. My foot is cold. Silly hard floor. School classroom floors are so uncomfotable. Didn't get my sleeping mat out coz it was at the bottom. We just want to get there now. Although we have coped surprisingly well. We haven't murdered each other yet. :) I think we'll get worse though. But we will survuve. Hopefully. LOL.
Yay we're on an aeroplane! It seems so long ago that we left our parents. It was only 27 hours ago. Was actaually surprisingly easy. Mum was crying of course but Dad took me ot school and behaved himself. The first part of the day went really quickly. We started by putting up the tents and of course ours was the only one with a problem. It had a habit of levitating. One of our tent poles ws about a foot longer than the others, which didn't help. The only spare we had was a foot too short so stuart sawed the end off the long one. Great start. The day really slowed down then when we wnet through iodine tablets and group kit. We then spent ages going through each persons medical card and we found out how irritabel everyone gets when they're hungry. At about 9 we got pizza and sat chatting for a while. Roddy, Ella and Stuart then supposedly did thier last talk to us and left us to sort out jobs for the next couple of days. We eventually got to bed at 10:30, 3 hours before we needed to get up again. Not that anyone could sleep in a room of 19 hyper teenagers anyway. I think I got about half hours sleep. At 2:15 we gpot on the coach, all looking v rough, but better than we will in a week I'm sure! We got to Heathrow really early and spent a long time sitting on the floor. We then had a mad rush to the gate once we convinced people you could get food in the departure lounge. Our Madrid flight was great, we all slept! However once we landed we couldn't find our connecting flight. We were delayed for 3 hours! Tempers were kinda frayed but we survived. Feeling more human now I've eaten (even if it is only aeroplane food) and slept.
